Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American actor and musician from the United States who began her career with clever lyrics that explored racial as well as sexuality from an edgy and humorous perspective. Then she moved on into Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first exposure to music was from playing the trumpet. She also received the classical and jazz education later exploring hip-hop in her teenager. While in college, she took classes in writing and women's studies. Then, she even had one semester studying Mandarin in Beijing. It wasn't until after graduating that she turned her attention towards music. Her song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity through the Internet in the year 2012. It was eventually included on her album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. It also contained popular hits that went viral, such as body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$. The latter track was linked with another Awkwafina project NYC a travel guide published in the year 2015. With musician and author as her credentials, she began looking for acting in a third project. Alongside early TV shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she appeared in films such as Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018 she landed breakthrough parts in several high-profile films like Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. Then in June she launched the EP in Fina We Trust.
